2022 Black Gold Jubilee celebrates the harvest

BELLE GLADE -- The 2022 Black Gold Jubilee on Saturday, April 2 was held at the Torry Island Campground on Lake Okeechobee.

This annual celebration celebrates the area’s rich soil, nicknamed “Black Gold” for its ability to produce bountiful harvests year after year. The jubilee draws thousands of residents and visitors from across South Florida.

The jubilee included free concerts and a fireworks show.
