BELLE GLADE -- On Friday, March 25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., women employees from Bank of America will volunteer to roll up their sleeves and work with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County for a day of service to help complete homes in Belle Glade for two Habitat clients. President of Bank of America Palm Beach County Fabiola Brumley is spearheading the effort.
The homes are located at 825 and 833 SW Avenue C in Belle Glade.
The work is part of Women’s Build 2022, an annual worldwide event engaging women to support affordable quality housing. The work will significantly impact two mothers in our community, Shaquasha Lane and Elione Volmard, and help build a better life for their families. Completion of the two homes is expected in summer 2022.
Shaquasha Lane was born and raised in Belle Glade. She is the mother of two beautiful young boys. Shaquasha has been employed with GEO Group as a Transitional Case Manager for over three years.
Elione Volmard is originally from Haiti and has been living in Belle Glade for over 21 years. Elione will be sharing her home with her 20-year-old daughter and her mother, Marie.
