Alpha Kappa Alpha 20 Pearls Youth and CAP members give back for Thanksgiving

Posted

BELLE GLADE — Many families have experienced significant losses during this unprecedented pandemic. To show their love and appreciation the Alpha Kappa Alpha Mu Rho Omega Chapter’s Twenty Pearl Youth Group and College Admissions Process (CAP) participants gathered together to create Thanksgiving baskets for a deserving family.

The baskets were delivered to the Sylla family whose daughter attends Pioneer Park Elementary School. The baskets were filled with nonperishable items. The baskets were delivered to the school on Nov. 18.

The CAP members said it was extreme pleasure to help spread a little holiday cheer to the Syllas. The family was excited and grateful, expressing their surprise for the amount of gifts they received. This event was a clear demonstration of the Twenty Pearls and College Admissions Process participants mission to connect families to resources and build partnerships in the community. Special thanks go to the Twenty Pearl Committee Chairman, Quintella Brown and the College Admissions Process Chairman, Chimere Brown.
