Funky, fried foods continue to attract fairgoers

Posted

WEST PALM BEACH — For some fairgoers, it’s all about the creatively prepared foods that they can only get at the South Florida Fair. The 2022 event, Jan. 14-30, will feature many of their favorites along with some new selections.

One example is Grandma Brown’s caramel apple cinnamon roll, topped with warm cinnamon apple pie topping, then drizzled with warm caramel.

“If you really feel indulgent, we’ll add white frosting for a decadent, delicious and delightful taste,” said Libby Class of Grandma Brown’s Cinnamon Rolls.

Grandma Brown’s uses between 1200-1500 pounds of flour and 900 pounds of sugar in total to make its cinnamon rolls.

Bubba’s Bacon returns and will be offering a brand new Brazilian Bowl, a pineapple bowl or a rice bowl with either grilled shrimp, chicken or steak. Bacon lovers will still be able to tantalize their tastebuds with Bubba’s quarter pound of bacon on a stick grilled in maple syrup or covered in chocolate.

Another unique creation is AP Concession’s Frosted Flake Chicken on a stick, served with or without Sriracha Aioli. A&M Concessions will tempt fairgoers with a variety of different Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Rice Bowls and the Shrimp Shack will offer Jumbo Stuffed Tater Kegs with either crab, bacon cheddar or Buffalo chicken.

These are just a “taste” of what guests can expect at the 2022 South Florida Fair!
