PALM BEACH COUNTY — A Hendry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) press release stated that the identity of the person found on June 6, in a canal in Palm Beach County, has been positively identified as 30-year-old, Jamal Hubert.
At the time of the press release HCSO investigators were not certain of the cause of death or the reason. Investigators are now conducting a homicide investigation and continuing to follow up on all leads.
A previous HCSO press release stated that Mr. Hubert was last seen on Sunday, June 2, at his home on Maryland Avenue in Clewiston.
