Pahokee commission reopens meetings to public

Posted

PAHOKEE – The Pahokee City Commission agreed to reopen commission meetings to members of the public who wish to attend in person, following discussion at their May 17 meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 the commission restricted public access to virtual attendance.

The mayor suggested requiring at least one open seat between individuals or family groups in the meeting room.

Masks will be encouraged, but not mandated. The mayor said Palm Beach County is doing well with vaccinations but there are people who are not fully vaccinated.

Masks will be recommended, especially for those who have not been fully vaccinated.
