RIVIERA BEACH – A second Pahokee teen has been charged with first degree murder and attempted robbery with a firearm in connection with a deadly shooting in Rivera Beach on June 30.

According to the Riviera Beach Police Department report, on June 30, police responded to a report of shots fired at the Indian Trace Apartment complex, and found Tyrese Isiah Watt, 17, on the ground next to a car in the complex parking lot. EMS declared him dead at the scene.

Luke Lewis, 20, of Riviera Beach, was arrested on June 30 and charged with murder. Jacquez Brown, 18, of Pahokee was also arrested and charged with murder and attempted robbery with a firearm on June 30.

On Aug. 18, Jaylin Rodriguez, 17, of Pahokee was also charged with first degree murder and attempted robbery with a firearm.

According to the arrest report, Watt, Brown, Rodriguez, and another teen reportedly planned to rob Lewis during a marijuana transaction.

Lewis reportedly told officers that he pulled his own gun after Watt tried to rob him at gunpoint.

Brown reportedly told officers that he, along with Watt and two 17-year-olds, had discussed robbing someone under the ruse of purchasing marijuana. Brown explained he called Lewis to set up the purchase of two “zips” of marijuana for $200. While enroute to the meeting place, the group decided to take the marijuana by force, the report continues.

At the meeting site in the Indian Trace complex parking lot, Watt got out of the car and approached Lewis’s vehicle. Lewis was sitting in the driver’s seat with the door open. Watt reportedly pointed a handgun at Lewis while demanding the marijuana. Lewis reportedly pulled his own handgun and fired. Lewis told officers he saw Watt fall to the ground. Lewis got out of the car and ran to his apartment, the report continues. While running, Lewis discarded his handgun in some bushes.

Three  teens were  taken into custody at the scene. Police recovered both firearms used in the incident.
