PBSC gives students a chance to register for spring term classes

“Big Saturday” on Jan. 7

LAKE WORTH — All campuses of Palm Beach State College will be open on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to give new, returning and prospective students a convenient opportunity to apply and register for spring term classes, which begin on Thursday, Jan. 12. While PBSC is open every weekday, the special Saturday hours will expand registration options at campuses located in Belle Glade, Boca Raton, Lake Worth, Loxahatchee Groves and Palm Beach Gardens.

PBSC has dubbed the day “Big Saturday” to encourage individuals to pursue the big dreams and goals that are often set into motion at the start of a new year. Anyone interested in making educational strides in 2023 – whether to prepare for a new career or pursue a degree – will find team members from each of PBSC’s departments ready to help them, including Admissions/Registration, Advising, Financial Aid, Testing, Veterans Services and the Center for Student Accessibility. Campus bookstores will also be open.

“Now is a great time to get started on a new resolution, a new dream, or to complete the goals that you have already started with a PBSC education,” said Stephen Joyner, Ph.D., associate vice president of enrollment and retention. “We are an institution that provides opportunities for individuals that are interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree or going directly into the workforce. Big Saturday will help people access the education options that will bring them closer to their goals in 2023.”

In addition to “Big Saturday,” the College is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Virtual help is also available during these hours.
