PBSO announces new social media accounts for Spanish speakers

Posted

WEST PALM BEACH — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has opened two new Social Media platforms on Instagram and WhatsApp that are focused to assist and inform the Hispanic community. These Spanish social media accounts will join the Sheriff’s Office already existing Spanish accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

With a growing community of Spanish-speaking Hispanics in Palm Beach County (over 23%), it is essential to inform the public of important information that will help keep everyone safe. As the largest Law Enforcement Agency in Palm Beach County, it is equally important to be accessible to the public in their native tongue and assist them with any questions or concerns they may have. That is why PBSO has established a WhatsApp business profile where members of the public can directly send messages to. There, the public can submit any questions, concerns or tips they may know of.

In a continuing effort to be transparent and utilize technologies like social media as a customer service tool, PBSO opens these avenues of communication to the public.

To follow these accounts is easy. Just follow @PBSOEE (PBSO En Español) on Instagram and add the PBSO WhatsApp number 561-319-7719 to your Whatsapp.

Alternatively, the public can scan this QR code to add The Sheriff’s Office to WhatsApp:

The Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all use the handle - @PBSOEE
