CLEWISTON – A Port St. Lucie man died Wednesday (April 12) after driving a truck into a water-filled canal.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a truck with a trailer was driving south of County Road 835 approaching Rogers Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle went into a water-filled canal. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to FHP, the accident was reported at 12:45 p.m. The exact time of the crash remains under investigation.
