Posted

PALM BEACH COUNTY -- The School District of Palm Beach County, in partnership with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, is offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for students, staff, and their families (ages 12 and older) at four school district locations.

The Health Care District Mobile Clinic will be administering the vaccines at select locations. The locations will be open through August 8.

The Glades region vaccination site is  West Technical Education Center, 2625 NW 16th Street, Belle Glade. It will be open on Tuesdays through August 8 (with the exception of July 6),  from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The vaccinations are available without an appointment or insurance and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students, staff, parents, and guardians 18 years and older do not require a parent’s consent. However, children 12-17 require signed consent from their parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian must also be present with the child at the time of the vaccination.

The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered at the same site as the first vaccine.

The COVID-19 vaccine is NOT required for any student or staff member of the School District of Palm Beach County.

There will be no vaccinations July 1-7. Vaccinations will resume on July 8, 2021.
