SOUTH BAY -- An 86-year-old Homestead man died in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 27 in South Bay on Oct. 10, at 2:05 p.m.

Henry Wayne Bailey, of Clewiston, the 41-year-old driver who reportedly fled the scene, was arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and charged with homicide-manslaughter, hit and run, failure to stop or remain at crash site involving death and driving without a license. The PBSO report states the van crossed the southbound lanes of U. S. 27, into the path of the oncoming Harley Davidson.  The front of the motorcycle collided with the left side of the van. The van rotated in a counter-clockwise motion. The motorcycle overturned onto its left side. The motorcycle driver and passenger were ejected.
