Big changes announced at Hendry County Schools

HENDRY COUNTY — Newly elected Superintendent of Schools Mike Swindle has made some big changes for Hendry County Schools. Recently, Swindle made formal announcements regarding some newly appointed administrators.

Amongst the many changes being made, Phil Summers was also formally announced as the new Principal of Clewiston High School.

“Mr. Summers is a great leader, I am looking forward to the great things ahead for students and teachers at CHS!” Swindle said.

“Very proud of the positive trend in student achievement data at Clewiston Middle School! This is the result of great teachers working hard with guidance and direction of great leaders! Ms. Tina Kelley and her staff at CMS continue doing an amazing job!” explained Swindle. “They now have Roberto Sanchez to assist as the Director of Secondary Education, great things are happening at CMS!”

Changes in leadership did not only happen in Clewiston, as Swindle continued to make official announcements, “I am honored to formally announce Mrs. Tammy Bass is the Principal of LaBelle High School. Mrs. Bass is a great educational leader, LHS students and staff are in good hands!” He also announced John Klinger as the new principal of LaBelle Middle School by saying, “He is already doing great things for teaching and learning!”
