Green Thumb Garden Club presents scholarships

Posted

CLEWISTON — On Feb. 12, 2022, the Clewiston Green Thumb Garden Club held a yard sale at the First United Methodist Church of Clewiston from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. The yard sale was a fundraiser to make it possible for two Clewiston High School students to receive scholarships in the fields of agriculture and Public Service Academy. The club thanks the community for making it possible to meet this goal.

One of the Clewiston Green Thumb Garden Club’s projects is to support the youth in the community. One of the ways they do that is to award scholarships to Clewiston High School students in the areas of agriculture and public service to the community. On May 9, 2022, at the Senior Class Night at Clewiston High School Auditorium, Ninette Aker, representing the Clewiston Green Thumb Garden Club, presented two senior high students scholarship awards in the amount of $500 each. Justice-Ann Morrison was awarded the scholarship for agriculture and Abby Donnise Claude was awarded the scholarship for Public Service Academy. Congratulations to these well-deserving young ladies!
