Posted

CLEWISTON- A gruesome discovery was reported by Clewiston Public Works employees to Clewiston Animal Control on the morning of April 28, 2021.

They issued an announcement almost immediately:

“Attention Clewiston Residents and surrounding areas. This morning we received information on a disgraceful, disgusting an completely unnecessary action. Clewiston Public Works employees were helping to clean out a jammed Garbage truck. Upon helping they discovered a single black trash bag containing two small deceased dogs inside.”

The announcement stated, “Given the conditions of the poor innocent bodies we suspect this act was committed Sunday evening or very early Monday morning. One was described as black the other being tan. The trucks route before the heinous discovery was from the area behind Walmart to Royal Palm Ave. This is an enormous area of possibility for disposal. We have listed all the streets on the trucks route. With such a large area we are asking the community to report any information they may have leading to the culprit.”

The route areas include the neighborhoods of the following:

Those who report tips relating to this case can remain anonymous.
