HENDRY COUNTY- The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) congratulated several people on their Graduation from the SW Florida Public Safety Academy (otherwise known as a police academy.) Among them was also Crime Scene Investigator Brenda Zavala, Mayra Ramirez-Reyna, and Kenneth Barrientos.
"This morning a ceremony was held where Sheriff Steve Whidden swore in all three, as well as former Police Officer Achilles Pierre and welcomed them to our agency," the HCSO explained. "
Deputy Brenda Zavala has nine years prior experience with the agency as a 911 dispatcher, and later as a Crime Scene Investigator.
Deputy Mayra Ramirez-Reyna worked as a Probation Officer for three years, before becoming a Deputy Sheriff.
Deputy Kenneth Barrientos is a proud member of the SW Florida Public Service Academy Color Guard.
Deputy Achilles Pierre worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice for two years and was a Road Patrol Officer in Fort Myers for one year, before joining the agency.
"We believe each of these Deputies come with excellent prior experience that will equip them to be better Deputies," said the HCSO . "Please take a moment to congratulate them and wish them well in the future."
