HENDRY COUNTY — Hendry County School District Superintendent Michael Swindle has made the decision to close schools Tuesday, Sept. 27 and Wednesday, Sept. 28, ahead of inclement weather associated with Hurricane Ian. The following information was relayed to staff and board members via email.
“As we make preparations for Hurricane Ian, and out of an abundance of caution and safety for our staff and students, schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 27, and Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. The decision for Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, will be made as we determine the path for this storm. You will be notified of additional closings as soon as the decision is made.”
