Ivan L. “Buzz” Beasley

Ivan, 79, of Okeechobee, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on November 30, 2022.
Buzz was born in Paxton, Illinois to Ivan D. and Edna Mae Beasley. He has been a longtime resident of Okeechobee, FL. Buzz proudly served in the US Navy. He began a career in Law Enforcement as a Police Officer, before becoming the first Director of Emergency Services for Okeechobee County.
Buzz had a love for the Lord and was a founding member of the Trust Quartet. He was a skilled woodworker, liked to travel, and enjoyed old tractors. He was multi-faceted and embarked on many ventures, always with his wife Beverly by his side.
Buzz was the beloved husband of Beverly J. Beasley for 55 years; loving father of Ralph “Boots” Keel (Dawn), Penny Cunningham (Terry), Alicia Perviss (John), and Rhonda Mohr (Jeff); adored grandfather of Joseph Keel, Geoffrey Keel (Sara), Cade Keel, Ernest Cunningham (Tamra), Vanna Vonderau (Travis), Jimmy Perviss (Vanessa), Alaina Barron (David), Brett Joiner, Mark Joiner, Amber Ramsey, Donald Mohr (Rosal), Cody Mohr, and Kameron Mohr (Christin); cherished great grandfather of 18 great grandchildren, and dear brother of Stephen Beasley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will attend a private viewing beginning at 10:30. All friends and family are invited to the Visitation which will be held from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am at the Okeechobee Church of God, 301 NE 4th Avenue, Okeechobee, FL 34974. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
