LABELLE – A pedestrian was critically injured Monday evening when he was struck by a car on State Road 80, just west of State Road 29.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a 31-year-old Moore Haven man was driving a sedan westbound on SR 80, just west of State Road 29 (in the vicinity of Burger King restaurant), around 7:45 p.m. when the accident occurred.
The front of the vehicle struck a 74-year-old man. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital.
