Possible threat at LHS investigated, determined to have zero risk

LABELLE -- The Hendry County School District reported a possible threat occurred at LaBelle High School on Tuesday, March 28. 

According to its post on Facebook, due to the quick and collaborative action taken by school administrators and the Hendry County Sheriff’s office, this threat was immediately investigated and determined to be a zero risk situation.

All LHS students and staff are safe and secure. Additional security measures will be implemented on campus today (March 28), including additional security personnel, to ensure the safety of students and staff.
 
The district thanked its administration and the Sheriff’s Office personnel for their tenacity and quick response.
