School board recognizes CYDA student

CLEWISTON — At the June 1 Hendry County School Board Meeting Larissa Frotten, a 10th grader, was recognized as the Clewiston Youth Development Academy Student of the Year for having the highest GPA, working with younger students academically, following a rigorous weight lifting program (which encouraged others), and volunteering to serve breakfast and lunch at the school - which helped the food service staff. Laryssa is headed back to Clewiston High School in good standing and plans to enter the Collegiate Academy at Clewiston High School next year.
