HENDRY COUNTY — At approximately 12:46 a.m. the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal two car crash at State Road 29 and Sears Road Tuesday, March 16.
A sedan, operated by a 24-year-old Naples man, was traveling south on State Road 29, approaching Sears Road. At the same time a sedan operated by a 47-year-old Arcadia man, was traveling north on State Road 29, north of Sears Road. The 24-year-old man failed to maintain a single lane and entered the northbound lane of travel. The front of the sedan collided with the front of the sedan operated by the 47-year-old man. Both vehicles came to rest in the area of collision, the crash remained under investigation at the time of the FHP press release.
It was reported, both drivers died from injuries sustained in the crash.
FHP Trooper Reilly was the investigator of the traffic crash.
