Posted

The crash seen on this video took place at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7.

The trooper had stopped with the motorist that had just suffered a tire blow out on the left rear when for unknown reasons a sedan collides with a white pickup truck causing it to sideswipe a silver pickup truck that then collides with the vehicle seen on the video.

Luckily the motorist seen here suffered minor injuries and the trooper was unharmed. The driver that caused this crash failed to stop and render aid, the vehicle was described as a sedan, unknown make, model, or color. If you receive any information in regards to this unknown vehicle please contact FHP at *347 or Crime Stoppers.

The FHP report states: "Vehicle (V01 Unknown Vehicle), Vehicle (V02) and Vehicle 3 (V03) were traveling on Interstate 95 (State Road 9) just south of Hypoluxo Road. V04 had just suffered a tire blow out on the left rear tire and was parked on the apex of the northbound exit ramp to Hypoluxo Road. V01 was directly behind V02 in the lane# 3 and V03 was traveling in lane # 4. The driver of V01 failed to observe V02 traveling ahead of him.  As a result, V01's front collided with V02's rear causing damage to V02's rear.

"After the impact between V01 and V02, V01 continued to travel northbound. V01 was last seen traveling northbound. Consequently, V02 veered towards lane #4. As a result, V02's front right collided with V03's left side causing damage to V02's front right and V03's left side.

"After the impact between V02 and V03, V02 and V03 traveled toward the apex. V03 entered onto the apex near my marked agency patrol vehicle and a disabled park vehicle (V04). As a result, V03's front right collided with V04's rear left causing damage to V03's front right and V04's rear left.

"After the impact between V03 and V04, V03's front collided with the non-motorist (driver of V04). V03 and V04's final rest were on the apex of the northbound exit ramp to Hypoluxo Road facing north and V02's final rest was in the outside lane of the northbound exit ramp to Hypoluxo Road facing southeast."
