Florida nears 1 million people vaccinated for COVID-19

Statewide as of Jan. 17 (reported Jan. 18), Florida had vaccinated 938,537 people with the first dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and 93,258 had received their second dose.

In South Central Florida:
Collier County: As of Jan. 17, according to the Florida Department of Health, Collier County had vaccinated 16,564 people with the first dose and 687 with the second dose.
Glades County: As of Jan. 17, 442 people in Glades County were vaccinated with the first dose and none had received the second dose.

Hendry County: As of Jan. 17, Hendry County had vaccinated 1,371 people with the first dose and five with the second dose.
Highlands County: As of Jan. 17, Highlands County had vaccinated 2,980 people with the first dose and 347 with the second dose.
Lee County: As of Jan. 17, Lee County had vaccinated 33,106 people with the first dose and 1,758 with the second dose.
Martin County: As of Jan. 17, Martin County had vaccinated 7,705 people with the first dose and 501 with the second dose.
Okeechobee County: As of Jan. 17, the county had 1,492 people vaccinated with the first dose and seven vaccinated with the second dose.
Palm Beach County: As of Jan. 17, Palm Beach County had vaccinated 83,629 people with the first dose and 2,525 with the second dose.
