Okeechobee County

Library plans fun
OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Library, 206 S.W. 16th St., is hosting curbside trick or treating on Oct. 29, 4:30-5:30 p.m. They are also offering some take-home crafts for the family to do in advance of the holiday. Drop by and pick yours up or call 863-763-3536 to schedule an outside pickup. The Okeechobee Library Adult Book Club is back. October’s book is “Dark Witch” by Nora Roberts. Join the library to discuss the book on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.

Fall festival at Diamond C
OKEECHOBEE — Diamond C Events is holding a fall festival on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31, and Nov. 6-7, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. They are at 24497 E. State Road 78.

Visit the Jeep “O” Treat
OKEECHOBEE — Jeeps of Okeechobee will host a Jeep “O” Treat located at 3101 U.S. 441 S. Holiday Inn parking lot, on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be music, BBQ food with the Hardens, candy and treats. You do not have to get out of your car. You can drive around the Jeeps and the candy will passed to you, or you can walk through the Jeeps and allow your children to safely get treats while social distancing.

Moose Lodge hosts party
OKEECHOBEE — Moose Lodge #1753, 159 N.W. 36th St., WOTM Chapter 956 will host an Adult Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 31, with dinner at 5 p.m. and music by D & K Entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m.

Churches host festivals
OKEECHOBEE — First Baptist Church is hosting its annual fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the ball fields south of the Roc located at 310 S.W. Fifth Ave.
Abiding Hope will host a fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 4550 U.S. 441 North from 4-6 p.m.

Halloween bash
OKEECHOBEE — The Country Boutique, 305 S.W. Park St., will be hosting a Halloween Bash on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 12-8 p.m.

Trick or treat
OKEECHOBEE — Muck City Tattoos, in the Sun Plaza, 909 S. Parrott Ave., Suite 8F, will be have a Halloween party and be handing out candy to trick or treaters on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m.

Glades County

Church host Hallelujah Night

MOORE HAVEN — Moore Haven Church of God of Prophecy, 399 Avenue E, will host Hallelujah night on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. The church will be handing out food bags for kids with full meals, including things such as hot dogs, chips, mac-n-cheese cups, apple sauce or fruit cups, snack bars, juice boxes and candy!

Hendry County

Join in the spooky fun
CLEWISTON — The City of Clewiston has partnered with U.S. Sugar to organize a fun, family-friendly and safe Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the John Boy Auditorium, 1200 W.C.Owen Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m. This will be a drive-though trick-or-treating activity.
Vehicles will drive through, slowly, with windows down — as kids collect treats along the way. Costumes are welcome and encouraged. Organizers ask everyone to remain in their vehicles while participating.

Haunted happenings
LABELLE — Florida SouthWestern State College, 1092 E. Cowboy Way, would like to invite the Hendry/Glades community to a night of fun frights including activities appropriate for all ages on Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Building B parking lot. They will have a Trunk or Treat, a mini pumpkin giveaway and photos.
