BUCKHEAD RIDGE — A Jupiter woman was killed in a Sept. 9 Glades County head-on crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP)

According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 9, a 61-year-old Jupiter woman was driving a Fiat 500X eastbound on State Road 78 approaching the intersection of Linda Road.

At the same time a 43-year-old Apopka man was driving a semi-truck westbound on S.R. 78, just south of the intersection of Linda Road.

The Fiat crossed over the center line and into the path of the semi-truck resulting with the left front portion of the semi-truck colliding with the left front portion of the Fiat.

The semi came to a controlled stop in the westbound lane of S.R. 78. The Fiat rotated counterclockwise and came to final rest facing north in the eastbound lane, partly in the westbound lane.

The driver of the Fiat was pronounced deceased by Glades County EMS.
