FORT MYERS — Midwest Food Bank of Florida – a volunteer-driven, faith-based organization dedicated to alleviating hunger, malnutrition and providing disaster relief locally hosts a Virtual Auction fundraiser. The Virtual Auction fundraiser is now LIVE for the chance to bid and win many great items.
The annual gala fundraiser usually held by the Florida division had to take a different direction this year. Adapting to address the concerns associated with the COVID pandemic, this year’s fundraiser was split into two parts. The Virtual Auction opened at 8 a.m., Wednesday Feb. 17, for bidding and will close Friday, Feb. 19 at midnight.
The auction contains over eighty diverse items to suit all budgets and interests, including a one-week luxury house rental in Mexico, a locally catered gourmet dinner prepared in your home, several designer bags and accessories, local restaurant and spa packages. Not to mention the numerous exciting adventures such as fishing trips, boat excursions, Salt Island Seaplanes round trip, and several items by local artists.

The second component is a Drive-Thru, Carryout Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Fort Myers food distribution warehouse.

• A locally catered gourmet meal of pear salad, roasted prime rib, potatoes with vegetables and dessert by Jamie Jacob Catering
• An interactive drive-thru experience showcasing the extensive mission work of the Midwest Food Bank Florida Division
