HENDRY COUNTY — A 45-year-old Moore Haven man died Jan. 2 in a motorcycle crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Report, at 12:50 p.m., on Jan. 2, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling south on U.S. 27, in the left lane, approaching Flaghole Road. The motorcycle was behind the SUV.
The SUV began slowing down for traffic ahead, the FHP report continues. The front of the motorcycle collided with the rear of the SUV.
The motorcylist, a 45-year-old Moore Haven man, was fatally injured.
The SUV driver, a 42-year-old Hiahleah man, was not injured. Passengers in the SUV, 30-year-old woman, a 29-year-old woman and a 1-year-old boy, both of Hialeah, were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
