MOORE HAVEN — The Florida Highway Patrol press release state at approximately 11:03 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, the FHP responded to a traffic crash located at State Road 78 and Marshall Field Road.
Vehicle 1, a van, operated by a 32-year-old Moore Haven man was traveling west on State Road 78.
At the same time vehicle 2, a van, operated by a 63-year-old LaBelle man was traveling east on State Road 78.
Vehicle 1 crossed the centerline. The left front of vehicle 1 collided with the trailer portion of vehicle 2 in the eastbound lane.
After the collision, vehicle 1 traveled off the roadway, overturned, collided with a fence and came to rest on the westbound grassy shoulder.
Vehicle 2 and trailer also came to rest on the westbound grassy shoulder.
It was reported the 32-year-old Moore Haven man transported to Hendry Regional Medical Center in serious condition. The Moore Haven man was reported not to be wearing a seatbelt.
