MOORE HAVEN  --   Glades County Schools welcome James Sharpe as the Agriculture Teacher and FFA Sponsor at Moore Haven Middle High School.

Sharpe graduated from the University of Florida in May of 2018. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Education & Communication, and specialized in Communication and Leadership Development.

He is originally from Okeechobee, and has always had a special love for agriculture and the outdoors. Immediately after high school he participated in a “Year of Service” program as the Florida FFA Area VI State Vice President. During this time he participated in many leadership development programs and taught leadership and teamwork to agriculture students across the state.

He has toured over 60 farming operations including some in China. Mr. Sharpe says his favorite experience from the year of service was interning with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services under Commissioner Adam Putnam.

Glades, teachers, welcome, FFA
