MOORE HAVEN — The Moore Haven Terriers baseball team recognized three seniors before their game against the Pahokee Blue Devils on April 25.

Bryan McDuffie, Miguel Arroyo, and Sean Miner each had their jersey numbers painted on the field in their honor. The team also secured a win on senior night, beating Pahokee 18-5.

Arroyo led the Terriers on the pitcher's mound against the Blue Devils, allowing only one run in two innings and striking out four batters. Miner and Josh Blackman each had three hits for Moore Haven. Miner hit two singles and a triple, while Blackman hit a single and two doubles. Both players had 4 RBIs in the win.  Arroyo and Za'Marrian Teel each had 2 RBIs.

The Terriers stole 12 bases against the Blue Devils, with Teel and Blackman each leading the team with three.

Recently the Terriers rallied to beat Everglades City 17-6. Moore Have was trailing 6-1 at early in the game, but eventually tied things up at 6-6. Then, in the fourth inning with the bases loaded Miner singled to drive in a run and break the tie. After that, Teel and Calvin Jones each brought in a run after being hit by a pitch and drawing a walk to increase the lead.

Next the Terriers will head to the district playoffs. They face Victory Christian Academy in the district quarterfinal on May 1. The winner of that game will advance to the district semifinal to play the number one seed in the district, Lakeland Christian, on May 2.
