GLADES COUNTY — A semi-truck failed to stop and was hit by a train Monday afternoon according to a Florida Highway Patrol travel advisory issued shortly before 1 p.m.
The truck was traveling north on U.S. 27 near Boar Hammocks Raod in Glades County. A train locomotive pulling several cargo containers was traveling west on the tracks. The truck failed to stop for the railroad crossing, disregarding warning lights and crossing arm. The front of the approaching train collided with the trailer portion of the semi.
No injuries were involved. The accident is under investigation.
