MOORE HAVEN — Glades County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the 200 block of Eldorado Avenue in Moore Haven in reference to a shooting that occurred shortly before 10 p,m. Monday, Nov. 2. Upon arrival, two males had gunshot wounds to their legs and were provided medical care by Glades County Sheriff Office (GCSO) deputies as well as Glades County Emergency Medical Services.

Prior to being transported to the hospital, both victims gave very limited and inconsistent accounts of what transpired and would not provide any specific details. The two victims were then transported to Hendry Regional Medical Center for further treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.

Upon investigation, it was learned that the shooting incident occurred near the intersection of Fifth Street and Avenue F (about eight blocks away), where several articles of evidence were recovered. While on scene, GCSO also discovered that a nearby occupied residence had been struck by several of the fired rounds, causing damage to the residence as well as furniture and appliances contained within. Thankfully, no member of the family that resides at that location was injured.

Further investigation took place at Hendry Regional Medical Center; however, both male victims refused to provide any additional information and would not cooperate with this investigation.

The Glades County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in this case. Should you have any information, GCSO ask that you contact Capt. Mike Pepitone at 863-946-1600, ext 2105.
