A debt of gratitude to our COVID health heroes, the Florida Dept of Health, the Hendry County Health Department, and others.
On Monday, Feb. 1, I received my second Moderna vaccine at the Hendry County Health Dept. according to my scheduled time. Everything receiving these two vaccines went smoothly; everyone there was pleasant, informative, efficient, and friendly.
During my wait time after the vaccine, I asked John Gountas, Planning Consultant and Planning Strategy of the Florida Dept. of Health, FDOH, a state agency based in LaBelle, how many people/agencies were involved in this impressive, smooth operation.
Below is a PARTIAL listing of how many local, state, and federal departments or agencies in no particular order, are involved:
• Dr. Joseph Pepe, FDOH, Hendry County Health Dept. Health Officer
I don’t think any of us realized what an achievement of efforts are involved nor how many people are dedicated to provide these services once the vaccines arrived.
Everyone should thank each of these amazing public servants.
