The LaBelle 4H Horseshow Club’s Best in Show Scarecrow won the People’s Choice Award during LaBelle’s first Scarecrows on the Wharf event hosted by the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation and MOPS of LaBelle held October 13 - October 31. The judging took place on Saturday, October 27. Marco Ruiz, Tara Sherrod and Erin Vasquez from Suncoast Credit Union were the judges. Me & My Girls Antiques and Home Décor won first place for their Head Over Heels scarecrow, Horsin’ Around 4 H made by the LaBelle Silver Spurs won second place, and Frida KAW-Lo made by Barron Park House Gallery and Gifts won third place. We want to thank all the businesses who participated in the event including Harold P. Curtis Honey Company, Hendry County Tourism, Girl Scout Troop 748, Girl Scout Troop 1017, Gatorama, Hendry Regional Convenient Care, Beta Sigma Phi, Riverside Camp and Retreat Center, and the Wilkins family for participating in Scarecrows on the Wharf and making our first year a success.
