It was a lovely event complete with complimentary wine, a full buffet of hor d’oeuvres, and the most talented artists in the area. And the place was packed. So many people from the community came to take in all of the artwork that the Arts of the Inland artists had worked so hard to create. All artists worked under the theme of “Perceptions,” but the media and subjects were drastically varied. Some artists focused on rural life with barns and animals, and others focused on familial ideas like vacation spots, brothers, and child-like animals. Abstract, photography, collage, realism, and impressionism lined the walls, something for every taste. The gallery is a treasure of the city that celebrates local talent. If you were unable to make it to the show on Friday night, all of the artwork will still be on display throughout this month. The gallery is located on the river in downtown LaBelle at 471 N Lee Street, and is open Thursday-Sunday from 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.. Be sure to follow @barronparkhousegallery on Facebook and Instagram to find out more information about upcoming events and opportunities to get creative. Currently, there is a fundraiser to purchase handmade ornaments and many upcoming workshops. Also if you are interested in joining the Arts of the Inland to display your artwork, visit our website at www.artsoftheinland.com for more info. Thank you to the board for curating the event and to all participants and winners!
