The LHS Boys Cross Country team ended their season at the State Finals in Tallahassee on Saturday, November 10.
It was the Boys sixth consecutive trip to the Championship Meet, where they finished 17th out of 24 teams. Sophomore Jose Salgado lead the way finishing in 54th place with a time 17:12. Freshmen Alexis Reyes and Daniel Ramos were next in with times of 17:22 (67) and 17:32 (79) respectively. More impressively, they were the fourth and fifth Freshmen to finish overall in the race. Sophomore Jesus Silva was the fourth LaBelle runner in at 18:12 (107). Senior Elmer Carranza was next in at 18:23 (114) finishing the scoring for the Cowboys. Senior Bo Campbell, despite a late season injury ran a respectable 18:35 and Sophomore Brayan Beltran was 19:03.
The Cowboys future looks bright as five of the top seven runners return for at least the next two years.
