LABELLE -- The LaBelle High School Building Trade Class worked on a project for Dana-Howard-Weekley American Legion Post 130.
On March 4 students and staff delivered a masterfully constructed flag box to the American Legion Post 130.
Post Commander Myra Johnson had reached out to the Building Trade Class regarding a much needed box for the public to drop off worn and tattered flags that need to be properly retired. Mr. Armour, an Air Force veteran, was excited to have his students work on the project.
The following students and staff were instrumental in making this happen: Keith Woosley, Emmanuel Reyes, Moises Villa, Nicolas Williams, Nicolas Comonfort, Francisco Montoya, Alvaro Echevarria, Erick Reyes, Mr. Armour and Mr. Barney, both teachers are veterans.
Please drop off flags that need to be properly retired in the box. Our Flag retirement ceremony will be June 14, 2022 (Flag Day) at the post.
