The Community Outreach and Fellowship Committees of the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma are planning a Teacher Appreciation Event to honor and recognize any retired educators living within our community. Community members are encouraged to invite any and all retired educators — family, friends, neighbors, former colleagues, fellow church members — and join us for a Happy Hour Coffee on Thursday, May 17, from 4 to 6:00 p.m. at the Bridge Street Coffee & Tea Company. Retired educators will receive a free cup of coffee or tea! This event promises to provide a special time to recognize and honor those who made a difference through their years of service as educators.
