Flag Day 2019

Posted

Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended the Flag Day Ceremony to retire American Flags that had been collected by the American Legion and the VFW all year. Thank you to the LaBelle High School wrestling coaches and members who assisted with the retirement of the flags. The weather was perfect, cloudy and rains didn’t start until after all flags had been retired.

Most who attended wore their patriotic colors and had American Flags to wave during the program.

The flags at last retired after they were determined to be no longer serviceable. They had reached their present state in a proper service of respect and in the memory of all who have served America. Remember: Old Flags never die, they just get fired up!
