The LaBelle Pollinator Garden 4-H Club led by Ms. Margaret England received $1,000 from the Garden Club of LaBelle to renovate the landscaping in the front of the Dallas B Townsend Agricultural Center. The Garden Club of LaBelle meets at the center the 4th Monday of the month. The landscape renovation will include a sprinkler system, flowering plants for butterflies and hummingbirds, three bench arbors as well as pavers in front of the building. Not only is the garden going to beautify the center, it will be used for education. The members of LaBelle Pollinator Garden 4-H Club appreciates the generous donation from the Garden Club of LaBelle as well as the initial donation from FPL. The club also thanks Patricia Gonzalez and Stewart Swanson of the UF/IFAS/Hendry County Extension Service, Ramiro Rodriguez and staff from the Hendry LaBelle Recreation, Cub Scout Troop 9, and the Boy Scout Troop 9 for assisting with the project.
