LaBelle man receives serious injuries in LaBelle car crash

LABELLE — A Florida Highway Report stated that at approximately 10:15 p.m. on July 1 a Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by a 59-year-old LaBelle man stopped for a stop sign on Park Avenue, at the intersection of State Road 29. At the same time a marked Hendry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) vehicle, operated by a 32-year-old Cape Coral man was traveling north on State Road 29, approaching Park Avenue.

The Chevrolet initiated a left turn onto southbound State Road 29 into the path of the HCSO vehicle. The right front of the sedan collided with the front of the Chevrolet.

FHP reported the 59-year-old LaBelle man was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The 32-year-old Cape Coral man was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
