Are you ready for the first-ever LaBelle Cash Mob? Do you find yourself asking, “What in the world is a Cash Mob?!” Well, the idea came up, while I was brainstorming innovative ideas to help local businesses thrive, with Kelly Boone, of the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation(LBRC). It’s a name that was inspired by “flash mobs,” but instead of dancing, we gather together to shop, dine, support local businesses with our cash purchases. Cash mobbing is a very successful activity that has been popping up all across the U.S. The goal is to boost local sales and bring the community together and build lasting relationships. I have been to many of these events in other small towns, and they’re so much fun!
What do you need to do to participate? It’s simple, bring as many people with you, as you can- your family, friends, co-workers- and be ready to have some fun shopping and socializing! The first LaBelle Cash Mob will take place at Me & My Girls Antiques, located at 330 N Bridge Street at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. Any questions or for more information, feel free to contact the LDRC. Kelly has even set up a LaBelle Cash Mob Facebook Page for you to follow along. Remember, bring cash and plan on spending $20! See you there!
