The 2019 LaBelle High School Boys Golf Team ended their regular season in a winning fashion as they won the Hendry-Glades Golf Championship at the Clewiston Country Club on Tuesday, October 8. Senior Jered Hampton, Junior’s Aveary Vargas, and CJ Siner, sophomore’s Colton Bass, Evan Martin, Weston Nesbitt and KJ Kirtley all led the way for the victorious Cowboys!

The entire regular season was a success also as they won nine matches this year. It was a team effort throughout the season as the Cowboys had five different golfers’ record low scores during the year. The Cowboys will truly miss their one senior as the future looks bright for next year.

The team wants to take this time to thank their supporters; Paul Martin of Veranda and Southwest Ag Services Inc., the teachers, school administrators and parents for all their help, encouragement and understanding during the year. Without them the season and team would not be possible.

They would also like to say a special thank you to The Glades Golf Course and their special staff. They welcomed us and open their facility to our team for practice and matches and their support really makes a difference. Their hospitality really gives us a place to call home.

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful season and as always “GO COWBOYS”
