An Orlando woman died from injuries she suffered in a traffic crash on Tuesday, July 3.

A Palmdale family including two children received serious and critical injuries in the accident.

A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) news release stated that at 3:16 p.m., a 2013 BMW X5 SUV operated by Raquel Wright, 40, of Orlando was traveling southbound on State Road 29 approaching SR 78.

At the same time, a 1992 Ford F-350 truck operated by Raymond Hendry Jr., 32, of Palmdale was traveling northbound on SR 29, north of SR 78.

The SUV crossed over into the northbound lane and rotated counterclockwise. As a result, the front of the truck collided with the passenger side of the SUV. The SUV came to final rest facing east on the eastern grass shoulder of SR 29. The truck came to final rest facing east on the eastern grass shoulder of SR 29.

It was reported that Ms. Wright died from her injuries.

Mr. Hendry was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital where he has been in a medically-induced coma ever since the accident. Passenger Tucker Hendry, 11, was transported to Tampa General Hospital with critical injuries. Tucker later passed away due to his injuries.

Passengers Brooke (32 years old) and Allen Hendry (12 years old) were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Mr. Hendry was reported not to be wearing a seat belt. Ms. Wright and the passengers in the truck were wearing seat belts.

The traffic crash was investigated by Trooper M. Sill, crash investigator, and Corporal Justin Close, homicide investigator.
