Nick Smith

Smith has been actively involved in Government, Civic and Community projects in Hendry County for many years. Some of his past services include: City Commissioner and Mayor for the City of Clewiston, Board Member of Port LaBelle Unit 4 Homeowners Association, President of the CHS Tiger Boosters, LaBelle Kiwanis Club, Clewiston Rotary Club, Hendry County Fair and Livestock Association and Coach and Board Member of the Clewiston Pop Warner Football Team. He has received awards for Outstanding Community Service and for Service To Youth.

After a career of 32 years with United States Sugar Corporation he served four years with the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office as Director of Community/Government Affairs and Special Projects and as an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff. He currently works part time for the Hendry County Tax Collector’s Office.

The experience gained through years of service with the Sheriff’s and Tax Collector’s Offices in addition to many years of city government and community involvement have strengthened his qualifications and make him uniquely qualified for the District 4 Commission seat.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to seek this office and put my experience to work for the residents of Hendry County. I will be thankful for your vote and support,” Nick said.
