LABELLE – Jesus Sanchez, a Hendry County High School Student was recognized for his outstanding contributions and leadership to Hendry County’s Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT), Florida’s youth-led statewide organization.

“Jesus is an outstanding leader in Hendry County’s SWAT movement, “said Hendry County Tobacco Prevention Specialist, Kristi Hall. “He is very deserving of this recognition for his dedication to tobacco prevention.”

Jesus has previously been recognized by Drug Free Hendry LIVEPOSITIVE863 initiative for his commitment to making positive life choices.

“We are incredibly proud of his many accomplishments and thank him for his leadership in SWAT,” said Ms. Ross, LaBelle High School SWAT/SADD advisor. “His passion and efforts are helping to make the next generation in Hendry County tobacco free.”

For decades, SWAT has worked diligently to mobilize, educate, and equip Florida youth in revolting against and de-glamorizing the tobacco industry.
