Gather friends and family to see and touch LaBelle’s various working trucks and vehicles at Touch-a-Truck! Barron Library, LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation, and MOPS of LaBelle present Touch-a-Truck and Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 3 pm to 6 pm. This family event will take place in the Barron Library parking, 461 North Main Street.

This free interactive event allows children to get a close-up look at trucks and other vehicles. Touch-a-Truck is a safe place for kids to learn about working trucks they see every day in our community. Featured vehicles will include emergency service, law enforcement, public service, and local commercial businesses. Truck operators will be stationed at each truck to demonstrate how their trucks work and explain what they do. Check out a fire engine, police car, sanitation truck, and much more! Find out the importance of each truck in our community.

“Touch-a-Truck provides an amazing opportunity to kids and kids at heart,” said Megan Narehood, MOPS of LaBelle Coordinator, “ I hope being able to stand by their favorite trucks, touch them, and talk to their operators gives children and their families a new appreciation for the important roles these vehicles have in our community.”

Megan said they are currently looking for more trucks to participate in the event. Trucks needed are a cement mixer, dump truck, monster truck, and any kind of interesting trucks kids would enjoy seeing.

Visitors are also invited to attend the Fall Festival. The festival offers families a day of fun. Kids will enjoy trick-or-treating, horse rides (for purchase), and more. Parents will enjoy shopping at vendor booths. The whole family will be able to vote for their favorite scarecrow at Scarecrows on the Wharf. Prizes will be awarded, and winners will be announced during Touch-a-Truck and Fall Festival.

If you have a truck and would like to register it for Touch-a-Truck or would like more information about the Fall Festival and Scarecrows on the Wharf, contact Megan Narehood at 239-206 -9881 or mopsoflabelle@gmail.com.
