Car vs motorcycle crash claims life of 21-year-old man

SEBRING — A Florida Highway Patrol press release stated that at approximately 7:25 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, FHP responded to a traffic crash at Crestmore Drive and Josephine Avenue.

A sedan operated by a 23-year-old Sebring man was traveling north on Crestmore Drive, approaching the intersection of Josephine Avenue.

A motorcycle operated by a 21-year-old Lake Placid man was traveling south on Crestmore Drive, north of the intersection of Josephine Avenue.

The sedan turned left at the intersection and entered into the direct path of the motorcycle resulting in the front of the mortorcycle colliding with the left side of the sedan.

It was reported the motorcyclist was transported to Lakeland Regional Hospital and later pronounced deceased.

The crash remains under investigation.
