Cattle drive planned March 12 in downtown Okeechobee

The Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Association has organized an authentic Cattle Drive to go through downtown Okeechobee to kick off the rodeo weekend. On Saturday, March 12, the cattlemen will drive a herd of cattle down Highway 441 and through the middle of downtown on State Road 70, following the Speckled Perch Festival Parade at 10 a.m.

The Cowtown Rodeo will be held at the Historic Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Rodeo Arena, 1885 U.S. Highway 441 N. on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13. Gates open at noon. Mutton Bustin is at 2 p.m. The rodeo starts at 2:30 p.m.
